Hello. My name is Elizabeth Lane (she/her). I am a Toronto-based designer, technologist, strategic futurist, and storyteller.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Drama and Political Studies from Queen's University and a Master of Design in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from OCAD University.

I work professionally in the digital technology space, and strive to design, build, and use digital technology ethically, supporting its potential as a catalyst for positive change.

I believe that communities can be vessels for individual and societal health and wellbeing and should be preserved.

My Point of View.

Storytelling: Leverage the power of storytelling to build compelling narratives and visions, aligning stakeholders and teams.

Meaningful and ethical technology: Build technology not for the sake of it, but as a tool to solve real problems for people and the planet in ethical ways.

Diverse collaboration and co-creation: Advocate for multi-disciplinary collaboration, co-creation, and co-ownership with diverse teams and stakeholders to drive innovation.

Key Questions Iā€™m Asking.

How might we make better choices throughout the product life cycle in order to design products that have a positive impact on people and planet now and in the future?

How might we shift the measurement of success from purely bottom line to encompass holistic values, incorporating this shift into product metrics?

How might we better design digital technology to build healthy social connection and preserve social cohesion?
